Nike LeBron 9 “Summit Lake Hornets”

The releases of Nike’s NBA Big (James, Bryant, and Durant) seem to keep rolling out one pair after another. Mr. James’ Nike LeBron 9 is a steeple of the sneaker landscape right now and Nike continues to wow us with eye popping colorways. This weekend shows the releases of the Lebron 9 “Dunkman” “Mango” and “Griffeys”, but several sneaker aficionados have been waiting for release info on the Lebron 9 “Summit Lake Hornet”, which pay homage to Lebron’s adolescent AAU team. Nike took to Twitter today to give a release date, March 31st, which gives a little breather on sneakerhead pockets. Expected to be limited, the “SLH” sports purple and aqua colors reminiscent of the early Charlotte Hornets. I’m sure these Brons will make for happy hunting.

Nike Zoom Kobe 7 ‘Poison Dart Frog’

Kobe Bryant recently had his nose broken during the All-Star Game but seems to have no plans to slow down, and neither does his signature shoe line. Today Nike revealed a new animal in the Mamba’s “Predator” collection called the “Poisonous Dart Frog”. About 2 weeks back we saw a sample of the Kobe “PDF” with the glow-in-the-dark frog skin. The actual version of the Nike Zoom Kobe 7 ‘Poison Dart Frog’ dispensed with that and sports a LA Laker color way. The primary skin of the shoe is yellow with areas of black resembling the frog with a purple heel cap. And like the other “Predator” kicks it sports the frog on the crest on the heel. These are set to leap into stores on March 19th.

Air Jordan 4 “Cavs”

Year of the 4’s? It would seem so! After the “Cement” 4 and “Voltage Cherry” 4, Jordan Brand has another 4 colorway on the horizon. At first look it would seem as if these would be immediate fodder for Spike Lee courtside at MSG, especially given MJ’s history against the Knicks. But as it were Jordan flips the script and names them after another team whose heart was broken by “His Airness”, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Sporting the 80’s orange and blue over a black base, the Air Jordan IV “Cavs” are set to drop sometime in the near future, also coming in kids sizes. Are these on your radar? I’m sure Craig Ehlo won’t be grabbing a pair! via rstor
